Already know what car harness you have?

Click the options below or on the sidebar(if desktop) to find your install guide for the specific harness you have.

Normal Install means that your car harness is NOT the J533, OBD-II, GM, or Nissan harness. If this is the case, click on Normal Install. If you have a Nissan or a GM, click the link below to take you to an instruction set on the GitHub Community Wiki.

Before installing your comma 3x device it is important to understand which harness you have. Depending on the harness, there will be varying instructions on how to connect the device to your car.

What is a car harness?

The car harness is a universal interface to your car. Use the car harness to connect your comma device to your vehicle. The car harness is designed to be invisible in your car while being easy to install and use. Each vehicle has a specific harness based on make, model, and year. The car harness enables ECU(Electronic Control Units) fingerprinting and seamlessly switches back to the stock system when unplugging your comma device.

Forgot what type of car harness you have?

If you don't know what harness your car uses, go to the comma's compatibility page and you will see the type of harness right above the "Buy Now" button that shows when clicking on your vehicle make and model, as shown in the below image.
